Denver & the Front Range · Design-Build
Your bathroom is rarelyjust a bathroom.
We build bathrooms as part of primary suites, home additions and whole-home remodels — where the walls are already open and the plumbing is already moving. That is where our work is worth what it costs.

The Position
We are not a bathroom company. We are the contractor you call when the bathroom is part of something larger.
Most of the bathrooms in our portfolio were never standalone jobs. They were built inside a primary suite addition, a pop-top, a whole-home renovation or a custom home — rooms that came into being because the structure around them was already changing.
That is not a limitation we are apologising for. It is where a design-build general contractor earns the fee. When a bathroom moves plumbing, cuts structure, changes a roofline or has to coordinate with framing, engineering and permitting, you want one team carrying all of it and one proposal covering all of it.
If your project is a single existing bathroom, refinished in place, with nothing structural moving — a good bathroom specialist will serve you better and cost you less. We will say so on the call rather than after the estimate.
Two Questions, One Honest Answer
Which of these is closest to your project?
There is no price calculator on this page, because a bathroom inside an addition and a bathroom refinished in place are not the same job and should not pretend to share a number. Tell us the shape of the work and we will tell you straight whether we are the right call.
Pick the closest match above.
You will get a straight answer, including the answer where we tell you we are not the right fit.
What You Are Actually Buying
The part of a bathroom that fails is the part you cannot see.
Tile is the cheapest thing to get right and the most expensive thing to get wrong, because the failure never shows up in the tile. It shows up in the ceiling below, two years later.
This is a waterproofing membrane going over cement board and around the shower niche, before a single tile is set. It is the least photogenic stage of the job and the one we would want you to look at hardest.
Ask any contractor bidding your bathroom to tell you exactly how the shower will be waterproofed, and whether the niche and the curb are part of that system. The answer separates the trades quickly.
How It Works
Six steps, and the first one is a phone call.
-
Discovery call
A short call to understand the project, the house and whether we are the right fit. This is where we tell you if we are not.
-
Job walk
We look at what is actually standing — structure, plumbing routes, venting, access.
-
Design
Layout, fixtures and finishes worked through with you, so you approve a plan rather than imagine one.
-
Engineering & permitting
Structural engineering where the scope needs it, and the permit set, handled by us.
-
Construction
One project manager, and a job site kept clean — because you usually still live here.
-
Walkthrough
We finish the list you write, not the one we think is left.
The Work
Bathrooms, grouped by the project they were part of.
This is the argument for the whole page. Almost none of these were standalone bathrooms.

A Client Who Kept Coming Back
“Our first experience with AAA Home Improvements was in about 2006 for a ‘refresh’ of our kitchen. In 2019 we came back to AAA for a major kitchen remodel, followed by a complete renovation of our primary bathroom a couple years later. We kept returning to AAA Home Improvements time after time because of the blend of customer service and expertise that they provide.”

This is also the exception to everything above. If we have built for you before, we will take your bathroom on its own. Past clients do not get sent elsewhere.
Straight Answers
The questions people actually ask.
Do you do standalone bathroom remodels?
Generally, no — with one exception.
We build bathrooms as part of primary suites, additions, pop-tops, ADUs and whole-home remodels. If your project is one existing bathroom refinished in place with nothing structural moving, a dedicated bathroom specialist will usually serve you better and cost you less, and we will tell you that on the discovery call rather than after an estimate. The exception is past clients: if we have built for you before, we will take your bathroom on its own.
Do you need a permit to remodel a bathroom in Colorado?
Usually yes, once anything moves.
Swapping a vanity or retiling in place often does not require a permit. Moving plumbing, altering venting, changing electrical circuits, relocating a wall or cutting into structure almost always does — and requirements differ by jurisdiction across the Front Range, not just by county. Denver, Lakewood, Littleton, Highlands Ranch and Arvada each apply their adopted codes differently. On our projects, permitting is our responsibility, not yours.
How long does a bathroom actually take?
The shower sets the schedule, not the room.
A bathroom is a sequence of trades that cannot overlap: demolition, rough plumbing and electrical, inspection, board and waterproofing, tile, then fixtures and finish. Waterproofing and tile are the long poles, and inspection sits in the middle of them. A bathroom built inside a larger project usually adds less calendar time than people expect, because the rough-in is already happening for other reasons.
What does a bathroom cost?
We do not publish a bathroom price, and we would be suspicious of anyone who does.
The range between a bathroom refinished in place and a bathroom built inside a new primary suite is wide enough that a single published figure would mislead almost everyone reading it. What we will tell you is where in the process the number appears: a range at design, a real cost at design development, and a fixed, line-item proposal before anything is demolished.
Can you add a bathroom where there isn’t one?
Often, yes — and this is squarely the kind of work we are built for.
Adding a bathroom means new supply, new drainage and new venting, and the drainage is the part that decides feasibility. Basements frequently need the slab cut or an ejector system. Second floors need the joists checked. This is a design-build question before it is a plumbing question, which is why it belongs with a general contractor rather than a single trade.
Do we have to move out?
For a bathroom inside a larger remodel, usually not — but plan for one bathroom to be gone for the duration.
Most of our clients stay in the house. We seal the work area, keep dust controlled and keep the site clean daily, because you are living in it. If the project takes the only full bathroom offline, we will say so at the job walk and sequence around it where the layout allows.
Which areas do you serve?
Denver and the Front Range — including Lakewood, Littleton, Englewood, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater, Parker, Lone Tree and Castle Rock.
